It’s been a few days since I arrived home from Gen Con and I’ve finally recovered and gotten organized, so it’s time for the post-Gen Con wrap-up!

Gen Con 2018 has concluded and what a great time it was! Once again, I drove up from Houston and stayed with a friend who is local to Indy. This year we met up with even more friends that previous years and had a rather large contingent running around the convention. Our group also reconvened our True Dungeon crew from last year for several runs and even managed to complete our first Hardcore run, made up of 9 people from our group and one awesome outside Barbarian!

I also volunteered for Wyrd Games again, who in turn hooked me up with an Exhibitor badge. This gave me a great chance to chat with many game designers about the game design and production process. Some highlights were chatting with Elan Lee (designer of Exploding Kittens) and him running in back of the booth to grab me a copy of the new expansion, having a nice in-depth discussion about ZBrush techniques with one of the lead sculptors for Steamforged Games, and having several conversations about design and game balance with the Wyrd design team.

So, here’s a look at our Gen Con 2018 adventures:

And if you’ve never seen the “running of the nerds” from inside the hall, here’s a look at this terrifying event:

As you can see, we had a blast as always and are already starting to make plans for next year! Gen Con 2019 is less than a year away!
